Approach to market released to engage a supplier to deliver Australia’s first national support service for non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators

Following extensive consultation and service design work, we have released an approach to market on AusTender to engage a service provider to deliver Australia's first national support service for non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators (under the National Strategy’s First National Action Plan Measure 10).

The Service will provide nationally available and free support from the time of crisis and throughout the healing journeys of non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators, many of whom struggle to engage with mainstream supports. Support will be provided through a helpline, website, and online peer support forum.

This will be Australia's first ongoing national service to provide support for non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators, and one of the first internationally. The Service will also deliver important non-client facing functions such as advocacy, sector upskilling and law enforcement training.

Consultation outcomes, including those reflected in the Measure 10 Lonergan Research Consultation Outcomes Report Executive Summary, have directly shaped the design of the Service.

Thank you to the stakeholders who took part in these consultations and provided their time and expertise.

This approach to market will be open on AusTender from 21 November 2023 to 27 February 2024. A pre-recorded industry briefing will be uploaded within four weeks of the approach to market. Further details about this will be provided on the procurement's AusTender page in the coming weeks.
