The executive summary outlines the project methodology, consultation findings and outcomes of the development of resources to support services to implement the Minimum Practice Standards.

The National Office has developed a suite of practical tools and resources to support service providers to adopt and implement the Minimum Practice Standards: Specialist and community support services responding to child sexual abuse (Minimum Practice Standards) in different contexts and settings. The tools and resources are designed to support service providers to implement the Minimum Practice Standards, and in doing so uplift key areas identified by service providers. The policy guides provide guidance and adaptable templates on privacy, informed consent, client referral, and information sharing.

The supervision and reflective practice tools help service providers’ staff reflect on and learn from their experiences and interactions with clients. The supervision and reflective journal have been designed to use the Minimum Practice Standards as a set of guiding principles to help staff engage in a practice of continuous improvement.

‘Grooming’ refers to gradual behaviours that manipulate and control a child, as well as their family, kin and carers, other support networks, or organisations, in order to perpetrate child sexual abuse.
