COVID-19 and children’s safety

COVID-19 is having life-changing impacts on our community, including our children, their families and the organisations they engage with.

For many children, this is an uncertain and difficult time. Children’s regular schooling, childcare arrangements, extracurricular activities, socialisation and daily routines are being disrupted.

Increased isolation and being away from school, friends, family members and activities may create situations where children are at a greater risk of harm.

Rebekah Kilpatrick from the National Office for Child Safety provides advice on the risks children face in this new COVID-19 environment and information on how we can all work together to keep them safe.
