New resources are available for children and young people

New resources are available to help children and young people understand their right to speak up when they feel unhappy, uncomfortable or unsafe.

The resources include:

  • A three step guide poster and brochure for children and young people to help them understand they can speak up, how they might do so and what they might expect.
  • Information to help adults talk about the resources with children and young people in their lives, communities and organisations, and understand how they can support children and young people raise their concerns.
  • High-level guidance to help organisations understand their role in supporting children and young people to speak up.

Additional resources will be made available in 2021 to help adults respond to complaints raised by children and young people.

All of these resources complement the Complaint Handling Guide: Upholding the Rights of Children and Young People
