Public consultation to help design a national point of referral – now open

Public consultation to inform the design and delivery of a national point of referral under the National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse 2021‑2030 is now open and will run until Friday 17 November 2023.

Visit the Attorney-General’s Department consultation hub to share your views.

The national point of referral will help victims and survivors of child sexual abuse, practitioners and the general public to navigate the service system and access information and resources.

The National Office is seeking feedback from diverse stakeholders on how best to design a referral service that meets people’s needs.

We have also engaged First Nations Co., who have partnered with Impact Co., to undertake dedicated trauma-informed, culturally safe, accessible and inclusive consultations with people with lived experience, First Nations people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people with disability as part of this broader public consultation process.
