We have released an approach to market to engage a service provider to deliver Australia's first national support service for non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators (under the National Strategy’s First National Action Plan Measure 10). The approach to market will be open for a period of three months from (date – date).
We are seeking feedback from diverse stakeholders to inform the design and delivery of a national point of referral to assist victims, survivors and the community looking for information and support.
We engaged the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia to develop the national Minimum Practice Standards: Specialist and Community Support Services Responding to Child Sexual Abuse, which are now available.
We commissioned the University of Canberra News and Media Research Centre to develop evidence-based media guides to encourage responsible reporting on child sexual abuse and support victims and survivors engaging with the media.
The National Office for Child Safety developed a suite of risk resources to support organisations to understand how to appropriately manage child safety risks. These resources align with and support implementation of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
